Creating End Credits for Your Film Project With After Effects

Crafting the perfect end credits for your film can be a time-consuming task, but with After Effects, it doesn't have to be. Taking the time to create your own end credits grants you complete control over your design, while the process itself is relatively straightforward. With that said, if you would like to design your own basic credits sequence, you can do so by following these steps:

1. Create a new composition in high definition, with a duration of around 20 seconds. This step is crucial for setting the foundation of your end credits, so take the time to adjust the settings to your liking.
2. Now that you've got your composition set up, it's time to move onto the next step: adding your list of roles to the timeline. Simply right-click in the timeline, select New > Text, and then copy and paste your pre-prepared list of roles into this new layer. It's a simple but essential step that will help you keep your credits organized and easy to read. And for the fonts, with so many options available, take some time to choose a font that you truly love. Once you've made your selection, set the text to right alignment. This small tweak will help give your credits a professional and polished appearance.
3. Depending on how many people you would like to mention in your credits, you may need to setup two columns by duplicating the first one and positioning them besides the center. It's an easy process - simply click on the layer and press CTRL/CMD+D to duplicate it.
